Snippet stripes (and dots)

I've had these cupcake shaped cards for ages, of course I saw them wanted them, and then never got around to actually using them. I decided to delve into the snippet box and use these papers, the "sprinkles" are punched from a co-ordinating snippet paper. I also have lots of full sheets of this paper to use too............! I've also used a peel off from the many I still have, I know they are a bit of a no, no these days, but I am not throwing them away!
The edge was cut using on of my dies and is supposed to look like one of those fancy cupcake cases.
the card of course is for the snippet challenge over at Pixie's Crafty workshop. You really should join in, I got offered jam sandwiches last week which I haven't had for years. Mind you, you do have to watch out for the pogo sticks and that the bigger girls don't accidentally push you in the pond;)
The card is also for Aud Sentiments challenge- use "happy birthday" and Crafty Creations Challenges- stripes.
We went for a meal last night and then to see Ghostrider in 3d- not sure the 3d thing really did it for me though. At the end of the meal I was finishing my drink when I spotted a foreign object in it. It was part of a plastic cap and not a small piece either. The waitress got the manager and to begin with he was telling me how it wasn't harmful and I would be ok and it was from the drinks bottle they had used, they had 5 out of 5 ratings on all their inspections. So I said, well not today you haven't and if I hadn't been using a straw I could have choked on that piece of plastic. I felt he was being a bit, "there there". Anyway in the end he offered to take a generous £20 off the bill so all was well. I did notice that they took the plastic away as soon as I complained and so I think the lesson to learn is to keep hold of the evidence.

Great to have your company Lin, not sure about protecting you though - those big girls always nick the pogo sticks off me!
Love your card, the snippets look great as does the peel off. Thanks for sharing at Aud Sentiments too. Carol x

Brilliant card! Love the cupcake case edging idea - very cleverly done!

Close call with the plastic there - elf and safety would have had a field day, but good that they at least 'bought your silence' :)

Great to see you in the playground - been a bit busy in there today!

Love your cup cake card. Didn't know that peel offs were last yr. Can't keep up with all this technology!!!
You can have a go with my kite if you like.
Spose the moral of the story is sup not gulp. Must remember that next time I have a little wine.
Glad you were ok and got some money out of them. hugs Mrs A.

WAIT! Since when are peel-offs a no-no???! Dang, I'm so behind the times. I just bought 3 sheets of them on Saturday. *Someone* should have told me! One thing I have learned is to stop by shaped cards because I think they are cute. It turns out that I never use them. I do like what you've done with your cupcake card here and cupcakes are so trendy now. That I do know.

A lovely card, and I am still using peeloffs. They may not be the most fashionable, but they do have a place, and you can colour them to match your work.I would like to be able to use up all the Wedding ones I have left over from about 6 years ago. I think I might be stuck with those, though. Glad you did not choke on that piece of plastic. xx Maggie
